it was beautiful!(miami city ballet)...how do they spin around without getting dizzy AND keep their balance?

Dancers keep their balance by spotting (yes spotting helps balance) and by holding their center. Though they look relaxed while doing spins (this is because of their grace), almost every muscle in their body is tightened.

ancient chinese secret...
I was never able to do this, but dancer pick a point to focus on as they turn. Once they turn to the point that their head can't stay facing that direction, they snap it around and refocus on the spot.

If you watch really closely, you'll see their heads always face the same way and their body turns and then their head will turn in a snap and face the same direction again.
the dizzy part is by spotting a certain place everytime she/he turns.

the balance part is to have strong arms and a straight standing leg and a good start.
Lots of practice!!!lou
PRACTICE !!!

and it's called spotting - keeping you eyes fixed on an object/point in space for as long as possible during a turn b4 you have to turn your head around. and when you do, you immediately focus on that same point. do this and you don't get dizzy no matter how many spins you make.
its called spotting, they find something to focus on and whip their head around and find it again. it also takes A LOT of muscle in your legs, you have to keep your body really straight and tall, but the most important thing is spotting
Lots and Lots of practice.
